The Healing Power of Love—Lifting

the healing power of love: lifting

a collaborative art-adventure featuring
pam, shawna and me

“A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.”
― William Shakespeare

So Pam asked about my theme,
“The Healing Power of Love … what does that mean to you?”

Unexpectedly, tears came to my eyes.

For me, it’s that being with friends … doing things like this … painting or going for a little walk on the beach or just being in the presence of people who love me … it lifts me.

And that’s precious to me, especially now as I embrace more and more calm in the storm.

At one point as we were painting, I said something silly, I can’t even remember what it was … And Shawna laughed affectionately “Aw, I miss you!”

That was my favorite moment.

You’re the only true friend I’ve had my entire life, I hope you know how much you mean to me. Your positive outlook, even with all you have going on, is uplifting. So glad I have you in my life!!

You have always, always, always been there for me, no matter how busy you are … I’ll never forget that! Love you, my friend!
