I was just wishing I’d taken progress shots of this one as it evolved … cuz it was such a fascinating evolution!
But y’know what they say about wishing in reverse … Sorta like shoulding all over yourself. It just ain’t right! (Wait, did “they” say that or did I? Hey, I think it was me!)
Instead, the magic is in my memory. As it should be.
The fact that there is no series of photos to document the path this painting took on its way down the creative birth canal must’a been perfect.
Cuz things are just like that.
Whatever transpires on this adventureland journey called life is absolutely perfect and it’s no different with this.
So let me tell you the story.
This painting had five mothers. It was born with strong, bright shapes and as each left her mark, it playfully morphed into this fun-loving, painterly thing, awash with color and open to interpretation.
I see this one as a Rorschach on canvas, just oozing fun and love and inviting us to come play. Stephanie sees a unicorn. What do you see?
