a collaborative art-adventure featuring
michelle, jessie lee and me
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
—Thomas Merton
And … it was interesting to notice what came up in me in this sort of collaborative situation. Normally, I just do what I do and it’s so-called “mine” and nothing matters. Even when working for a client, I just follow intuition. There are no mistakes, I don’t believe in those.
—Anne Tucker
So at first I just did something, anything, whatever, as I usually would … then suddenly there was this moment when I became almost afraid to do anything. The feeling was very strange and strong. I was so very aware of not wanting to screw it up, because it was no longer just “mine.”
Noticed it, “Hello, strange little feeling” … and moved through it. How interesting! Nice to get over that little bump in the road!
Next time I intend to play with just go-go-going without even thinking. Won’t that be a ride!
This painting makes me smile so big and so deep,
like I’m smiling in my heart. I love that.

I had such an amazing time with you and Jessie Lee at your place painting this masterpiece. 🙂 Lacking in any artistic talents surrounded by two extremely artistic people I was quite nervous and scared-thanks for making me feel at ease. You amaze me on so many different levels. I love you!!!
You are a beautiful and magical artist, my friend! I so loved painting with you guys. It was such a special gift to me and I will always remember it. xo
