I believe in playfulness, and laughing through pain.

Not if it’s not real … sometimes you first need to clear the decks. Name the pain. Truly, for me, this sometimes takes, like, 60 seconds. Somethin’ like that. Fair warning: I may cry during that 60 seconds. Matter o’ fact, it’s a good bet I will.

But then I’m on to seeing the silliness in the situation, not taking myself too seriously or at a minimum, opening to the ride. It’s always a ride, at the very least. Wow, what rides I have seen!

And when the ride dumps you off at the end and you look back at where you’ve been, you usually realize you’ve discovered some pretty fascinating stuff. Stuff you can take along in your pack and use for the future.
